# Customization overview

> Configure how Slant works for your practice — templates, labels, engagement rules, AI prompts, and more.

The **Customization** section in **Settings** lets you tailor Slant to match your practice's workflows. You can define templates, configure AI behavior, set engagement goals, and organize records with labels and tags.

To access customization settings, click **Settings** in the sidebar, then look under the **Customization** heading.

## Notetaker

Configure the AI notetaker that joins your meetings to record and summarize conversations. Set the bot's name and avatar, choose how long recordings are retained, and manage phone recording numbers.

## Project types

Define reusable project templates with milestones, task templates, outcomes, and form fields. Project types standardize workflows like client onboarding or annual reviews across your team.

## Engagement

Set review and touchpoint cadence goals for your clients. Choose a review strategy — rolling reviews on a set frequency, or surge reviews in specific months — and configure which interactions count as touchpoints.

## Prompts

Customize the AI prompts that power meeting summaries, meeting preparation, meeting notes, meeting tasks, and household summaries. Create reusable prompt snippets that can be inserted directly into [AI chat](/records/households/chat).

## Data customizations

The data customizations hub brings together templates, pipelines, meeting types, custom fields, and workflow settings in one place. Go to **Settings** → **Data customizations** to manage all of these.

## Tags & labels

Create company-wide tags and labels for organizing records. Go to **Settings** → **Tags & labels** to switch between object tabs and manage each list.

## Document filler

Manage PDF form templates that can be auto-filled with client data. Enable or disable templates and configure where completed documents are stored.
