# Keyboard shortcuts

> A reference of keyboard shortcuts available in Slant.

Keyboard shortcuts let you navigate Slant and perform common actions without reaching for the mouse. Shortcuts work from any page unless noted otherwise.

## Navigation

Press `g` followed by a second key to jump to a page.

| Shortcut     | Action                                                  |

| `g` then `h` | Go to [Home](/dashboard/home)                           |
| `g` then `t` | Go to [Tasks](/activity/tasks/overview)                 |
| `g` then `m` | Go to [Meetings](/activity/meetings/overview)           |
| `g` then `j` | Go to [Projects](/activity/projects/overview)           |
| `g` then `d` | Go to [Opportunities](/activity/opportunities/overview) |
| `g` then `c` | Go to [Clients](/records/clients/overview)              |
| `g` then `p` | Go to [Prospects](/records/prospects)                   |
| `g` then `o` | Go to [Other contacts](/records/other-contacts)         |

## Create

Press `c` followed by a second key to create a new record.

| Shortcut     | Action                                                |
| ------------ | ----------------------------------------------------- |
| `c` then `t` | Create a new [task](/activity/tasks/creating-tasks)   |
| `c` then `n` | Create a new note                                     |
| `c` then `c` | Create a new [client](/records/clients/overview)      |
| `c` then `p` | Create a new [prospect](/records/prospects)           |
| `c` then `o` | Create a new [other contact](/records/other-contacts) |
| `c` then `e` | Compose an email                                      |

## Global

| Shortcut           | Action                            |
| ------------------ | --------------------------------- |
| `Cmd+K` / `Ctrl+K` | Open the command palette          |
| `?`                | Open help chat                    |
| `Cmd+O` / `Ctrl+O` | Start or stop voice transcription |

| `Shift`                    | Toggle multi-select mode                  |
| `Escape`                   | Exit multi-select mode or clear selection |
| `Cmd+Enter` / `Ctrl+Enter` | Toggle task completion (in task detail)   |
| `J`                        | Next task (in task detail)                |
| `K`                        | Previous task (in task detail)            |
