# Release Raymond James data to Slant

> Send the feed request to Raymond James from Slant; Raymond James establishes the nightly feed and Slant connects it for you.

## Send the feed request

Open **Settings → Custodian → Raymond James** in Slant. The setup dialog asks for two details Raymond James' service team needs:

* Your branch or office number (for example X1Y).
* The CCO or delegate who will approve the request.

The request asks for a firm-level feed that includes RJ Trust accounts, so every account flows automatically and Slant sorts it into your books. An account-level feed would need a new ticket every time an account changes.

Slant then drafts the request email to Raymond James' RIA & Custody Services team with those answers filled in. Select **Open email** to open it in the email composer, make any edits, and send it from your connected mailbox; Slant's custodian team is copied. If no email account is connected to Slant yet, the dialog shows you the email to send yourself, then you confirm it was sent. To send from Slant next time, connect a mailbox under **Settings → Email and calendar**.

## What happens next

1. Raymond James files a ServiceNow ticket and emails your approver an approval request. Setup cannot start until they approve, so ask them to act on it promptly.
2. Raymond James establishes the feed, usually 5 to 7 business days after approval, and emails Slant that files start the next morning.
3. Slant registers your FA numbers from the feed, matches accounts to your households by tax ID and owner name, and places each FA number in the matching book. Slant emails you when the connection is live.

You do not need to enter FA numbers or choose books. You can move codes between books later from **Books & codes**.
