After each meeting, Slant automatically analyzes the conversation and generates recommended tasks based on commitments and follow-up items discussed during the meeting.

How tasks are generated

Slant analyzes your meetings to identify:
  • Explicit commitments you made during the meeting.
  • Follow-up actions you agreed to take.
  • Required paperwork or documentation.
  • Research or analysis you promised to perform.
  • Deadlines mentioned for specific actions.
After the meeting is analyzed, tasks are created for each commitment or follow-up item. Each task includes a clear, action-oriented title, a detailed description of what needs to be done, a link to the exact moment in the meeting where it was discussed, and a suggested deadline if one was mentioned. Each task is editable, so you can add your own notes or additional information.

Managing task recommendations

Viewing tasks

  1. Open the completed meeting recap.
  2. Click the Tasks tab to see all recommended tasks from the meeting.
  3. Each task shows:
    • Task title and description.
    • A link to jump to the moment in the meeting where the action item was discussed (click the Sparkle icon).
    • Current status (Pending, Accepted or Rejected, Completed).

Accepting tasks

If the recommended task is relevant, click the Accept button.
  • The task will be added to your main task list under the “To do” status.
  • The task can be managed from the main task list or from the task tab on the meeting recap.

Rejecting tasks

If a task recommendation isn’t relevant, click the Reject button.
  • The task will turn red on the meeting recap and show a red X icon to indicate it was rejected.
  • The task will be archived and won’t appear in your main task list.
