Meetings in Slant capture every conversation — whether it’s an online video call, a phone call, or an in-person meeting — and turn it into searchable notes, summaries, and follow-up tasks using AI. Meetings appear automatically from your connected calendar, or you can create them manually from a household, other contact, or business. After a meeting is recorded or a transcript is uploaded, Slant generates an AI summary, detailed notes, and recommended tasks.Documentation Index

Meeting types
Every meeting has a type that helps Slant organize your schedule and tailor AI output. You can set the type manually when creating a meeting, or Slant infers it automatically based on the participants and title.- Client review — a formal review meeting with a client household
- Client check-in — an informal check-in with a client
- Prospect — a meeting with a prospective client
- COI / partner — a meeting with a center of influence or referral partner
- Internal — an internal team meeting
- Other — any meeting that doesn’t fit the above categories
The meetings page
Open Meetings from the sidebar to see all meetings in your book. The page has three built-in tabs:Upcoming
Shows future meetings from your calendar and any manually created meetings, grouped by day. Each meeting card displays the title, type, time, location or link, and participants. Click a meeting to see its details in a side panel where you can edit the title, type, associated households, and users, or add preparation notes. The message “To see meetings further in the future, check the calendar section” appears at the bottom — meetings beyond the near-term window are visible on the Calendar page.Processed
Shows past meetings that have been recorded or transcribed and processed by AI. Use this tab to quickly find meetings with summaries, notes, and tasks ready for review. All meetings

How meetings are created
Meetings enter Slant in several ways:- Calendar sync — meetings from your connected calendar appear automatically on the Upcoming tab. Online meetings with a video link (Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Webex, or Slack) are detected and the notetaker joins automatically.
- Start meeting — click Start meeting on the meetings page, or from a household, contact, or business detail page, to create a meeting manually.
- Phone calls — calls to a dedicated recording number are captured as meetings. See phone call meetings.
- Imports — meetings imported from another CRM appear with a source of “Imported.”
Linking meetings to records
Each meeting can be filed under a household, an other contact, or a business, and linked to team members. Calendar participants are shown as email badges — click the + on a participant to create a new prospect, client, or other contact from that email. Linking a meeting to a record ensures it appears on that record’s Meetings tab and timeline, and helps Slant generate more relevant AI content. When you click Start meeting from a household, contact, or business, the meeting is automatically filed under that record. What happens after a meeting
When a meeting has a transcript — from the notetaker, a web recording, a phone call, or an uploaded file — Slant automatically generates:- Summary — a concise overview of the key takeaways
- Notes — detailed, structured meeting notes
- Tasks — recommended follow-up action items linked to the meeting
