You can start four different project templates you can use to start a project in Slant:
  • New client onboarding - Comprehensive workflow for bringing new clients into your practice.
  • Annual review - Structured process for conducting annual client reviews .
  • Money movement - Workflow for handling client fund transfers and distributions.
  • Trade request - Process for handling client trading requests.
Before creating a new project, be sure to view and edit the project templates for each project type to ensure they meet your needs.

Editing project templates

To edit a project template, click into any project template from the top of the Projects page.

Editing milestones

Click on any milestone to edit the milestone name. Click the colored dot next to the milestone nameto change the milestone color.

Editing tasks

Click on the task icon next to the milestone name to edit or add tasks in that milestone. To add a task, click the + Add task button. Click into one of the tasks to edit the task name, description, due date, or assignee. If applicable, you can also provide an example email to help the AI assistant generate a draft email for the task. To delete a task, click the trash icon next to the task.

Creating a new project

To create a new project from the Projects page,

Click the + New project button in the top right.

Enter the project name.

Select the client (household) associated with the project.

Choose a project template from the dropdown.

Click Create project.

You can also create a project by clicking the + Add project button on any of the project template pages.

What happens when you create a project

When you create a project, Slant will automatically:
  1. Create the project with the specified name and client.
  2. Set the first milestone as active.
  3. Generate tasks based on the tasks in the first milestone of the project template.
