Overview
A foundational guide to managing tasks in Slant.
Tasks help you stay organized and manage your relationships effectively. With tasks, you can track client- and prospect-related activities and follow-ups, collaborate with team members, manage deadlines and priorities, monitor progress on client deliverables, and much more.
Key features
Task status
Tasks can have one of four statuses:
- Pending - Tasks that are awaiting approval or rejection. These are typically AI-generated tasks from a meeting recap.
- To do - Active tasks that need to be completed. Tasks are bucketed under “Today,” “This week,” and “Upcoming” based on the task’s due date.
- Done - Completed tasks.
- Rejected - Tasks that have been declined.
Task properties
- Title and description.
- Due date (optional).
- Assignee.
- Collaborators (optional).
- Client association (optional).
Creating tasks
Task recommendations are automatically created for you based on meeting notes. You can also accept task suggestions from the AI assistant. To create a task manually:
Click the Add task button.
Enter the task title and description.
Set a due date.
Assign team members, add collaborators, and associate with a client household record if needed.
You can also use the keyboard shortcut Shift + T
to add a task.
Task actions
- Complete/Uncomplete: Click the circle checkbox.
- Accept/Reject: For pending tasks, use the thumbs up/down buttons.
- Edit: Click on a task to open the slideout.
- Delete: Use the task menu (three dots) to remove a task.
Task views
You can also add new task views to your task list. To do this, click the ’+’ icon next to ‘My tasks’ to pre-save common filters for more efficient task management.
