SOC 2 compliance

Slant maintains SOC 2 compliance, verified through independent audits. SOC 2 reports are available under NDA — contact your Slant representative or reach out to support@slant.app to request a copy.

Encryption

All data is encrypted both in transit and at rest:
  • In transit — all connections use TLS 1.2 or higher. Every request between your browser and Slant is encrypted.
  • At rest — data stored in our databases and cloud infrastructure is encrypted using AES-256.
  • Key management — encryption keys are managed through a dedicated key management service (KMS) with strict access controls and rotation policies.

Infrastructure

Slant is hosted on U.S.-based cloud infrastructure with:
  • Access controls — multi-factor authentication (MFA) is required for all internal access to production systems
  • Log management — all access to production systems is logged and monitored
  • Encryption key access — restricted to authorized personnel only
  • Asset management — production inventory is maintained and portable media is encrypted

Data handling

  • Data ownership — you retain ownership of all your data stored in Slant
  • Data deletion — customer data is deleted upon account termination
  • Data classification — we maintain a data classification policy to ensure appropriate handling based on sensitivity
  • Data retention — data is retained consistent with the purpose of collection and applicable legal requirements
  • No selling of data — your data is never sold or rented to third parties

AI and data privacy

Slant uses AI features throughout the platform, including meeting transcription, summaries, and chat. Important safeguards:
  • Google data isolation — data from Google integrations (Gmail, Google Calendar) is strictly isolated and only used for providing the agreed-upon services. It is never used for AI model training.
  • Anonymization — any data used for improving AI models is aggregated and anonymized so it cannot identify individual customers or their clients.

Incident response

Slant maintains an internal incident response program with defined procedures and SLAs for identifying, responding to, and communicating about security incidents.
