Notifications keep you informed when something relevant happens in your book — a task is assigned to you, someone comments on your work, or a document is signed. Notifications appear in real time. You don’t need to refresh the page to see new ones.

What triggers a notification

You receive a notification when:
  • A task is assigned to you — someone assigns a task directly to you or to a team you belong to
  • A task is created for a record you own — a new task is added to one of your clients, prospects, or other contacts
  • A task you’re associated with is completed — a task you’re assigned to or collaborating on is marked complete
  • A task you’re associated with is reassigned — the assignee changes on a task you collaborate on
  • You’re added as a collaborator on a task — someone adds you to a task as a collaborator
  • Someone comments on a task you’re associated with — a new comment appears on a task you’re assigned to or collaborating on
  • Someone mentions you in a comment — you’re @mentioned in a comment on any record
  • Someone replies to your comment — a direct reply is added to one of your comments
  • A DocuSign envelope is completed, declined, or voided — a document you sent for signature has a status change

View your notifications

Click Notifications in the sidebar to open the notifications panel. Each notification shows:
  • A read indicator — a colored dot on the left (blue means unread, gray means read)
  • The notification message — a summary of what happened and who did it
  • The book — a badge showing which book the notification belongs to
  • The time — how long ago the notification was created
  • A preview — for comments and tasks, a short preview of the content appears below the message
When you have unread notifications, a count badge appears next to Notifications in the sidebar.

Manage notifications

Mark a notification as read or unread

Hover over any notification to reveal a toggle button on the right side. Click it to switch the notification between read and unread. The read indicator dot updates immediately.

Mark all as read

Click Mark all as read at the top of the notifications panel to mark every notification as read at once. This button is disabled when you have no unread notifications. Click a notification to go directly to the related record:
  • Task notifications open the task details
  • Comment notifications open the task the comment belongs to
  • Meeting comment notifications navigate to the meeting page
  • DocuSign notifications open the signed document

Notification settings

You can control which notifications send you email and how frequently those emails arrive. Go to SettingsNotifications to configure daily digest emails, meeting prep emails, batch timing, and per-type email toggles. See notification settings for full details.

FAQ

Yes. The notifications panel shows notifications from every book you have access to. Each notification displays a badge indicating which book it belongs to.
The count badge only appears when you have unread notifications. If you’re viewing All books instead of a specific book, notifications are not available — switch to a specific book to see them.
Notifications are stored indefinitely. You can scroll through the panel to view older notifications, and they load automatically as you scroll down.
