Create an opportunity
You can create an opportunity from the page header or from within a specific stage column. From the page header
Select a pipeline
Click the pipeline tab you want to add the opportunity to (e.g., Prospect Pipeline or Client Pipeline).
Fill in the details
Enter the opportunity information:
- Name — a short description of the opportunity (required)
- Stage — the starting stage in the pipeline (defaults to the first stage)
- Value — the estimated dollar amount
- Target close date — when you expect to close (defaults to one month from today)
- Related record — the record linked to this opportunity. Depending on the pipeline’s audience types, you can pick a client, prospect, contact, or business.
- Assigned to — the team member responsible (defaults to you)
From a stage column
Click + New opportunity at the bottom of any stage column. This opens the same creation form with the stage pre-selected to that column. You can also click the icon next to a stage name in the column header. From a record
When viewing a client, prospect, other contact, or business, you can create an opportunity linked to that record. Open the Opportunities section on the Records tab (or the Opportunities overview widget) and click Add opportunity. The record is pre-filled as the Related record in the form.Edit an opportunity
In full view mode, every field on an opportunity card is editable directly. Click any field to update it:- Name — click the opportunity name to rename it
- Value — click the dollar amount to change it
- Probability — click to set a win probability (0–100%). If left blank, the stage’s default probability is used
- Target close date — click to pick a new date
- Related record — the linked client, prospect, contact, or business; click it to open that record. On a household pipeline you can link a household here when none is set yet
- Owner — click to reassign to a different team member
- Label — click to apply or change a label
Move an opportunity between stages
Drag an opportunity card from one stage column and drop it into another. The stage updates immediately. When dragging, hidden stages like Closed lost and Archived appear as drop zones at the bottom of the board. Drop an opportunity there to move it to a hidden stage. You can also use keyboard navigation: pick up an opportunity with the spacebar, then use the arrow keys to move it between stages.Use the card menu
In full view, open the ⋮ (three-dot menu) in the top-right corner of an opportunity card and select Move to stage. The submenu lists every stage in the pipeline, each with its color dot and name. The current stage shows a checkmark and can’t be selected. Choose any other stage to move the opportunity there immediately. Hidden stages like Closed lost appear in the submenu too. Moving to a hidden stage opens a Move to [stage name]? confirmation first. The Move to stage option is only available in full view. In compact view, use drag-and-drop instead.
Each opportunity card displays how long it has been in its current stage — for example, “2d ago.” This resets each time the opportunity moves to a new stage.
Filter opportunities
Filter chips appear below the pipeline tabs. Pinned filters are always visible:- Prospect or Client — filter by linked household (the label matches the pipeline’s household type)
- Label — filter by one or more labels, or show opportunities with no label
- Target close date — filter by relative date ranges: Today, Tomorrow, This week, Next week, This month, Next month, This quarter, Last quarter, or Overdue
- Owner — filter by the assigned team member
Search the board
Click the icon near the view-mode toggle in the top-right corner of the board to open a search box. Type to filter the visible cards by opportunity name, linked household, or owner. The per-column counts and the Total and Weighted header values update to reflect the matching cards. Clear the box to restore all cards; switching pipelines also clears the search.Labels
Labels are color-coded tags you can apply to opportunities for categorization — for example, “Referral,” “Upsell,” or “High priority.” To apply a label, click the label field on an opportunity card in full view and select from the list.Manage labels
Labels are configured in settings.
You can edit or delete existing labels from the same page. Deleting a label removes it from all opportunities that use it.

Custom fields
If your firm has configured custom fields for opportunities, they appear at the bottom of each opportunity card in full view. Custom fields are editable inline, just like standard fields. Numeric custom fields can also be used with the Sum by selector to display totals and weighted values based on that field instead of the default opportunity value.Delete an opportunity
FAQ
Can I assign an opportunity to a different pipeline?
Can I assign an opportunity to a different pipeline?
No. An opportunity belongs to the pipeline it was created in. To move an opportunity to a different pipeline, delete it and recreate it in the target pipeline.
What does probability do?
What does probability do?
Probability represents your estimated chance of winning the opportunity (0–100%). It’s used to calculate the Weighted total on each stage column. If you don’t set a probability, the stage’s default probability is used instead.
Can I create an opportunity without linking it to a record?
Can I create an opportunity without linking it to a record?
Yes. The Related record field is optional, so you can leave it blank. When you do set it, the picker offers the record types allowed by the pipeline’s audience types — clients, prospects, contacts, or businesses.
How do I see closed or archived opportunities?
How do I see closed or archived opportunities?
Drag an opportunity toward the bottom of the board — hidden stages like Closed lost and Archived appear as drop zones there. These stages don’t show as columns by default. Opportunities in hidden stages are still counted on the board if the stage is not excluded from totals.
