Custodian accounts are synced automatically from your custodian integration each night. Use the custodian accounts list to see which accounts are linked to clients, link unlinked accounts, and look up account details.
You cannot create, edit, or delete custodian accounts manually. They appear once your advisor codes are set up and the first sync completes.

Open the custodian accounts list

Click AccountsCustodian in the sidebar.

Columns

The list includes these columns by default:
  • Account — The account name from your custodian.
  • Custodian — The financial institution holding the account (e.g., Schwab, Fidelity).
  • Account type — The account type (e.g., Individual, IRA, Joint).
  • Market value — The total market value as of the last sync.
  • Account number — Masked by default (e.g., •••• 6780). Click the icon to reveal the full number, or click the number to copy it.
  • Primary related party — The primary account holder. Hover over the name to see their relationship, email, and phone number.
  • Linked household — The client household this account is linked to. Click to link or change the linked household.
To show the Linked trust column, click the column toggle button in the top-right corner of the list.

Search and filter

Type in the Search field to find accounts by name or account number. The Link status filter chip appears at the top of the list. Click it to show only linked or unlinked accounts.

Additional filters

Click Filter to add filters for:
  • Custodian — Filter by custodian name.
  • Account type — Filter by account type.
  • Market value — Filter by value (greater than, less than, equal to, etc.).

Find the account

Search by name or number, or use the Link status filter to show unlinked accounts.
2

Select a household

Click the Linked household cell and choose a client from the dropdown.
The link takes effect immediately. The account’s market value is added to the client’s AUM, and portfolio data becomes available on the client’s Custodian tab. To link an account to a trust instead, add the Linked trust column using the column toggle, then select a trust from the dropdown. For more on how linking works — including auto-linking by tax ID — see linking custodian accounts. Click the Linked household (or Linked trust) cell for the account and clear the selection. The account stays in Slant but is no longer associated with that client. Its market value is removed from the client’s AUM.
