Login issues
Can’t log in
Symptoms: Login fails or loops back to the login page. Try:- Clear your browser cache and cookies
- Try an incognito/private window
- Check if Caps Lock is on
- Reset your password via Forgot password
- Try a different browser
Two-factor authentication issues
Symptoms: Can’t complete 2FA verification. Try:- Check your phone’s time is correct (affects TOTP codes)
- Use a backup code if you have one saved
- Contact support for account recovery
Email sync issues
Emails not syncing
Symptoms: New emails don’t appear in Slant. Check:- Your email integration is connected in Settings > Integrations
- Sync is enabled and not paused
- The recent sync timestamp shows recent activity
- Disconnect and reconnect your email integration
- Check if your email provider is experiencing issues
- Verify OAuth permissions are still valid
Emails appearing on wrong household
Symptoms: Emails show up on the wrong household record. Causes:- An email address is associated with the wrong person
- Multiple people share the same email address
- Verify email address assignments on person records
- Update incorrect email associations
Can’t send emails
Symptoms: Emails fail to send from Slant. Check:- Your email integration is fully connected
- Send permission was granted during OAuth setup
- The recipient email address is valid
- “Authentication failed” — Reconnect your email integration
- “Invalid recipient” — Check the email address spelling
Calendar sync issues
Meetings not appearing
Symptoms: Calendar events don’t show in Slant. Check:- Calendar sync is enabled
- The correct calendar is selected
- Events are within the sync range
Wrong timezone
Symptoms: Meeting times are off by hours. Fix:- Check your timezone in account settings
- Verify your calendar’s timezone setting
- Ensure events have correct timezone in your calendar provider
Performance issues
Slant is slow
Try:- Refresh the page
- Clear your browser cache
- Check your internet connection
- Try a different browser
- Disable browser extensions temporarily
Page won’t load
Try:- Hard refresh:
Cmd Shift R(Mac) orCtrl Shift R(Windows) - Clear cache and cookies
- Try accessing from a different device
Data not saving
Symptoms: Changes aren’t persisting. Check:- You have edit permissions for the record
- Your internet connection is stable
- No error messages appeared
Data issues
Missing records
Symptoms: Clients, tasks, or other records aren’t visible. Check:- You’re in the correct book
- Filters aren’t hiding records
- You have permission to view the records
Duplicate records
Symptoms: Same household or contact appears more than once. Fix:- Use the merge feature to combine duplicate households
- Delete the duplicate manually if merging is not needed
- Update references to point to the correct record
Import errors
Symptoms: CSV import failed or created incorrect data. Common causes:- Column headers don’t match the expected format
- Required fields are missing
- Invalid data in cells (wrong date format, etc.)
Workflow issues
Workflow not triggering
Symptoms: A workflow doesn’t run when expected. Check:- The workflow is published (not in draft)
- Trigger conditions are correct
- The triggering event actually occurred
- No filter conditions are blocking execution
Sequence emails not sending
Symptoms: Enrolled contacts aren’t receiving emails. Check:- The sequence is active
- It’s within business hours (9 AM — 5 PM on weekdays in your timezone)
- The recipient hasn’t been exited from the sequence
- You haven’t reached the 100 active enrollee limit
