How integrations work
OAuth connections
Most integrations use OAuth for secure connection:- Click Connect in Slant
- Sign in to the service
- Grant permissions
- Slant accesses data securely
- No passwords stored in Slant
- Revocable at any time
- Limited to necessary permissions
API connections
Some integrations connect via API keys:- Get API credentials from the service
- Enter them in Slant settings
- Slant connects using those credentials
Data flow
Integrations can be:- One-way in — Data flows into Slant (custodian data)
- One-way out — Data flows from Slant (some exports)
- Two-way — Data syncs both directions (email, calendar)
