Templates are organized into four categories:
- Back office — administrative workflows like data entry and record keeping
- Magic button — on-demand automations triggered by a button on a record
- Prospecting — workflows for cultivating prospects and generating leads
- Reviews & touch points — reminders and follow-ups for client reviews and regular check-ins
Use a template
Configure the automation
The automation opens in the editor. Review the trigger and actions — some fields may need to be filled in with your specific tags, sequences, pipelines, or email accounts.
Start from scratch
If none of the templates fit your needs, click Start from scratch at the bottom of the template picker to open a blank canvas. See Building automations for a step-by-step guide.FAQ
Can I edit a template after adding it?
Can I edit a template after adding it?
Yes. Once added, the template becomes a regular automation in your book. You can edit it however you like — change the trigger, add or remove actions, and adjust any configuration.
Can I add the same template more than once?

Templates that have already been added show an Added badge. You can still view them, but each template is designed to be added once per book.
Are templates updated automatically?
Are templates updated automatically?
No. Once you add a template, it becomes an independent automation. If Slant releases an updated version of a template, you’ll be notified and can choose whether to update.
