Recipients complete intake forms in their browser — no account, app, or password required. This page walks through their experience so you can set expectations when you send a form.

Opening an invitation

The invitation email — sent from Slant or from your own address — introduces the form and includes a button plus a secure backup link. Because invitation links are personal, the recipient verifies their identity before the form opens: they choose one of their email addresses on file (shown partially hidden), click Send verification code, enter the 6-digit code from their email, and continue. This keeps their prefilled personal information private even if the email is forwarded.
Invitation links stop working if you revoke the invitation or it expires, and recipients see a clear message explaining why.
Public links open the form directly — no verification code, and nothing prefilled. Anyone with the link can respond.

Filling out the form

  • Progress saves automatically on the recipient’s device. If they close the tab, they pick up where they left off — returning visitors see their saved answers restored.
  • Prefilled answers (invitations only) mean the recipient confirms what you have on file instead of retyping it.
  • Uploads — if the form asks for documents, they attach files as they go.
  • Scheduling — if the form includes your scheduling link, they book a meeting without leaving the form.
  • Acknowledgments — disclosure questions ask them to type their name to acknowledge.

After submitting

The recipient sees a confirmation, and invitation recipients also get a confirmation email. You’re notified by email, and the response appears in your submissions inbox marked Needs review. Any automatic reminders still scheduled are canceled. If you publish a new version of a form while someone is partway through the public link, they can finish on the version they started for 14 days; after that, they’re asked to continue on the updated form and answers that still apply carry over.

FAQ

No. Progress saves on their device automatically, and their invitation link keeps working until they submit, the invitation expires, or you revoke it.
They can request a new code from the same screen. Codes go to the email address the invitation was sent to, so have them check spam or confirm the address on their record is right.
No. Once submitted, answers are final. Send a new invitation if something needs correcting, or edit the values yourself when applying the submission.
No. Saved progress lives on the device and browser they started on, so they should finish on the same device.
