Open the meeting detail page
There are several ways to open a meeting:- Click a meeting title on the Upcoming, Processed, or All meetings tab
- Click a meeting title in the All meetings data table
- Click a meeting from a household’s or contact’s timeline
Meeting details
The top of the page shows editable meeting metadata:- Title — click the title to edit it inline
- Date and time — the scheduled or actual meeting time. You can edit the date and time for manually created meetings. Calendar-synced meetings reflect the calendar event time.
- Meeting type — click the type label to change it. If AI content already exists, Slant asks whether to reprocess or change the label only. See meeting types.
- Meeting link — the online meeting URL, if one exists
- Users — team members associated with this meeting. Click + to add a user or x to remove one.
- Participants — calendar event participants shown as email badges. Click + on a participant to create a new prospect, client, or other contact from that email and link them to the meeting.
- Notepad — a rich text area for your own manual notes. This is separate from the AI-generated notes.
AI-generated content
When a transcript is available, Slant automatically generates three types of content:Summary
A concise overview of the meeting’s key takeaways, decisions, and action items. The summary appears as a short text block and is designed to be scannable in the meeting list.Notes
Detailed, structured notes generated from the transcript. Notes are organized with headings and bullet points covering the main topics discussed, decisions made, and follow-ups mentioned. You can edit the AI-generated notes directly on the meeting detail page.Tasks
Recommended follow-up action items extracted from the conversation. These are tasks linked to the meeting and appear in your task list.AI-generated tasks can require approval before being added to your task list. Enable Require task approval before creation in Settings → Prompts → Meeting prompts to review and accept or reject each suggested task.
Transcript
The full transcript shows each speaker’s contributions with timestamps. Click any line in the transcript to jump to that point in the video or audio recording.Rename speakers
If the transcript identifies speakers by generic names, you can rename them. Click a speaker name in the speakers list to edit it. Speaker name changes apply throughout the transcript.Find and replace
Use find and replace to correct recurring errors in the transcript — for example, a misspelled name or technical term. Open the … menu and choose find and replace, enter the text to find and the replacement, and optionally enable case-sensitive matching. Slant shows how many replacements will be made before you confirm.Video and audio playback
If the meeting was recorded, the video or audio player appears at the top of the meeting detail page. The player syncs with the transcript — clicking a transcript line jumps the playback to that moment, and the transcript highlights the current line during playback. You can collapse the video player to focus on the transcript and notes.Attachments
You can attach files to a meeting alongside its recap — for example, the slide deck, an agenda you handed out, or a screenshot taken during the call. The Attachments section appears on past meetings. Click the + button to add an attachment:- Upload file — pick a file from your computer.
- Attach from [provider] — open the file picker to select a file from your connected file storage provider. Slant stores the link, so the file stays in the provider.
Download meeting content
Click the button to save meeting content to your computer:- Download transcript — saves the transcript as a DOCX file
- Download video — downloads the meeting video recording
- Download audio — downloads the audio track only
Download options only appear when the corresponding content exists. A meeting without a recording won’t show video or audio download options.
When your recording retention settings remove a meeting’s notetaker media, Slant removes the notetaker video and generated transcript. The AI summary and meeting notes are kept, so the meeting still appears on the Processed tab. The transcript area explains that the transcript has been removed according to your retention settings, and download options only appear for content that is still available.

On the meeting detail page, click the Share button.

Create a project from a meeting
Open the … (three-dot menu) on the meeting detail page and select Create project to start a project from the meeting. If the meeting is linked to exactly one household, that household is pre-filled on the create form. After the project is created, a Project created message appears with a View project link to open it.Make a meeting private
For a past meeting, an admin or the book principal can open the … menu and choose Make private. This is available for meetings processed by the notetaker, and for completed recordings made live from the mobile app or as an in-person instant meeting. In Meeting privacy, select the users who should retain access, then click Save. The book principal is always selected and cannot be removed. After privacy is enabled, use Manage privacy from the same menu to change access. Excluded users no longer see the meeting in meeting lists, record activity, chat results, or reports.Reprocess a recording with AI
Some processed recordings can be transcribed again once. Open the … menu, choose Reprocess with AI, then confirm Reprocess recording. This replaces the current transcript and regenerates the meeting notes. The option disappears after it has been used.Reprocess speakers
When several people share one microphone or device, the transcript can label everyone as “Speaker 1.” Reprocess the recording with the names of everyone present so the transcript shows real names instead.1
Open Reprocess speakers
Open the … menu and choose Reprocess speakers. The option appears for an eligible notetaker recording whose media is still retained.
2
Set the number of people
In Separate voices from one device, set Number of people to the exact count of voices heard in the recording. You can enter 2 to 30.
3
Enter each name
Fill in the Names fields. Every name is required and each one must be different, but order doesn’t matter and names can be corrected later. Each field suggests team members on the meeting, members of a linked household, linked other contacts, and calendar attendees as you type.
4
Start reprocessing
Click Reprocess transcript.
Delete a meeting
Open the … (three-dot menu) in the top-right corner of the meeting detail page and select Delete meeting.FAQ
