Once a custodian account is linked to a client, portfolio analytics become available on the client’s detail page. You can view balances, asset allocation, individual holdings, recent transactions, and balance history — all updated with each nightly sync. Portfolio analytics are available for both client households and trusts with linked custodian accounts.

Custodian tab

Open a client household and click the Custodian tab to see their full portfolio view. If no custodian accounts are linked, the tab displays a prompt to connect accounts. Once accounts are linked, the tab shows:
  • Portfolio balance — The total market value across all linked accounts, with the as-of date and daily and 30-day change percentages.
  • Asset composition — A breakdown of holdings by asset class. Click a section to filter positions by that asset class.
  • Positions — A list of individual holdings. Click View all positions or click an asset class section to see the full list.
  • Recent transactions — The latest trades, deposits, and withdrawals. Click View all transactions to see the complete history.
  • 90-day balance — A chart showing portfolio value over the last 90 days.

Filter by account

If a client has multiple linked custodian accounts, use the account selector in the top-right corner of the tab to filter the view to specific accounts. The selector shows each account by name with the custodian and masked account number. The button label shows how many accounts are currently selected (e.g., “Showing all accounts (3)”).

Portfolio balance in the header

For clients with linked custodian accounts, the client detail page header displays a portfolio balance summary in the top-right area. This includes:
  • Total portfolio balance
  • A 30-day sparkline chart
  • Daily and 30-day percentage changes (color-coded green for gains, red for losses)
This summary is visible from any tab on the client’s detail page.

Trust portfolios

Trusts with linked custodian accounts show the same portfolio analytics on their Custodian tab. The experience is identical to client households — portfolio balance, asset composition, positions, transactions, and 90-day balance history. To link custodian accounts to a trust, use the Linked trust column on the custodian accounts list.

FAQ

Portfolio data syncs nightly from your custodian. Balances, positions, and transactions reflect the most recent sync. The as-of date shown next to the portfolio balance tells you exactly when the data was last updated.
Position data for newly linked accounts may take up to 24 hours to appear after the initial account sync. If positions still don’t appear after 24 hours, check that the custodian account has active holdings.
No. Portfolio analytics are only available for client households and trusts with linked custodian accounts. Prospects do not have a Custodian tab.
