Past clients are former clients that have been archived. Archiving preserves all household data — people, notes, tasks, meetings, emails, and activity history — while moving the household out of your active clients list. Past clients can be restored to active client status at any time. Open the past clients list by clicking ClientsPast clients in the sidebar.

The past clients list

The past clients list shows all archived client households in your book. The default columns include the household name, email, phone, tags, dates (created, archived, was client since), and meeting activity. Past client-specific columns like Archived on and Was client since help you track when clients were archived and how long they were active. Use the Tags quick filter or click Filter for advanced filtering by name, contact info, location, meetings, touchpoints, and custom fields. For details on customizing columns, filters, and views, see Data views.

Restore a past client

Restoring a past client moves them back to the active clients list and reactivates client features like review scheduling and custodian account linking.

Bulk actions

Select one or more past clients to reveal the selection bar at the bottom with these actions:
  • Restore to client — Move selected past clients back to the active clients list
  • Add to project — Start a project for each selected past client
  • Bulk email — Send a bulk email to all selected past clients (limit of 100 recipients)
  • Add tag — Apply a tag to all selected past clients
Click the menu for additional actions:
  • Delete — Permanently delete selected past clients and all their data
