The document filler populates PDF forms with data from your household and people records — names, addresses, account details, and more. Instead of manually entering the same information across dozens of forms, you select a template, review the pre-filled values, and generate a completed PDF in seconds.

What you can do

  • Auto-fill PDF forms — Templates are pre-configured with field mappings that pull data directly from your records. Fields that can’t be mapped are left for you to fill in manually. Learn how to fill a document.
  • Fill for a specific person or entire household — Some templates fill data for a single person (like an individual account application), while others pull data for the whole household.
  • Review fields with a live PDF preview — As you work through the form, the PDF preview highlights the field you’re editing so you can see exactly where each value will appear.
  • Download or save to cloud storage — Once your document is filled, download it to your computer or save it directly to the household’s connected cloud storage folder.
  • Send for e-signature via DocuSign — For templates with signature fields, send the filled document to DocuSign and assign signers to each role. Learn how to send documents for signature.
  • Configure templates and storage — Admins can enable or disable templates, set which fields are required, and choose where completed documents are stored. View settings.

How it works

The document filler is available from any client or prospect record. Open the household’s actions menu and select Fill PDF to get started. You’ll choose a template, review and edit the pre-filled field values, then generate the completed document. After the document is generated, you can download it, save it to the household’s cloud storage, or send it to DocuSign for e-signatures — all from the same screen.

Document templates are configured by your Slant representative. Reach out to your representative or contact support to request new templates.
No. Field mappings are configured during template setup by your Slant representative. You can adjust which fields are required from the document filler settings.
Filled documents can be saved to Google Drive, OneDrive, Box, Dropbox, ShareFile, or Egnyte. You need a file storage integration connected to your book.
No. If your firm hasn’t connected a DocuSign account, envelopes are sent from Slant’s shared account. You can also connect your own account from the DocuSign settings.
