A Slant representative must enable Reporting and Addepar for your company. Only admins with the integrations permission can connect or change Addepar. Your company can connect one reporting provider at a time.

Connect Addepar

Open SettingsReporting and choose one of two ways to connect:
  • Connect with Addepar signs in with an Addepar user and authorizes Slant. Slant only receives data that user can access.
  • Use API key takes a firm ID, subdomain, API key, and secret created in Addepar’s Firm Administration. Slant checks the credentials before saving them.
The first import starts right after connecting. Slant imports every top-level owner in your firm (households, clients, trusts) as a reporting household, together with its accounts, values, allocation, and performance. Imports refresh nightly.

Settings

  • Import Addepar groups as households adds each Addepar group as a household you can link to a client. Turn this on if your firm models families as groups.
  • Allocation attribute chooses which Addepar attribute drives the allocation chart (Addepar’s Asset Class by default, or one of your custom classifications). Subclass attribute adds a second breakdown.
  • Extra attributes shows up to three Addepar attributes, such as a model or risk level, on the household and its accounts.
Settings apply on the next import. Use Sync now to run one immediately (available once per hour). Under Available households, choose a Slant client in Linked household, or open a client’s Reporting tab and click Link reporting household. Slant links households automatically when custodian account numbers match, or when the Addepar name exactly matches one Slant client. Use Adjust link to change or remove a link; a manually unlinked household stays available and is not relinked automatically.

View reporting data

The client’s Reporting tab shows:
  • Account names, masked numbers, custodians, registration type when Addepar provides it, and values in USD.
  • Allocation by your chosen attribute, with an optional subclass breakdown.
  • Account and household time-weighted returns, starting values, contributions, withdrawals, fees, and dividend and interest income for YTD, prior year, or since inception.
  • Your extra attributes as labels on the household and each account.
Values reflect the previous business day’s snapshot. Links open the household or account in Addepar.
Addepar reporting does not include target allocations or projected income; Addepar’s API does not expose them.

Disconnect Addepar

Open SettingsReporting, click Disconnect on the Addepar card, and confirm. Slant removes imported reporting data and client links in the background. Your Slant clients and the data in Addepar remain.
