CurrentClient integration connects your CurrentClient phone system to Slant. Once connected, you can send and receive SMS messages, view synced call logs, and initiate calls from client records.

Prerequisites

Before connecting CurrentClient:
  • Active CurrentClient account
  • Slant book admin access

Connect CurrentClient

CurrentClient uses OAuth to connect. Each CurrentClient account is linked to a book, and multiple accounts can be connected to the same book.
  • Navigate to Settings > Phone and SMS
  • Find the CurrentClient section
  • Click Connect
  • Sign in to your CurrentClient account in the popup
  • Authorize Slant to access your account
  • You are redirected back to Slant with the connection active
After connecting, Slant syncs your inboxes and begins importing call and SMS history for phone numbers associated with people in your book.

Features

SMS messaging

Send and receive text messages from the Phone tab on client, prospect, and contact records.
  • Select a CurrentClient account from the Phone account dropdown
  • Choose a sending number from your CurrentClient inboxes
  • Select the recipient phone number
  • Compose and send messages
Incoming messages sync automatically.

Call logging

Slant imports call history from CurrentClient, including:
  • Call direction (inbound or outbound)
  • Date, time, and duration
  • Call status
  • Call recordings (if available)
On initial connection, Slant syncs up to 7 years of call and SMS history. After that, recent activity syncs periodically.

Click-to-call

If your CurrentClient account has phone numbers configured, you can initiate calls from Slant. Click a phone number on a record to start a call through CurrentClient.

Manage connections

View connected accounts

Navigate to Settings > Phone and SMS to see all connected CurrentClient accounts. Each account displays the account name.

Disconnect an account

  • Navigate to Settings > Phone and SMS
  • Find the CurrentClient account to remove
  • Click Disconnect and confirm
Note: Disconnecting stops syncing new data. Existing call logs and SMS messages in Slant are not deleted.

Troubleshooting

Connection errors

  • If the connection fails, try disconnecting and reconnecting
  • Ensure your CurrentClient account is active
  • Check that you authorized the correct CurrentClient account

Messages or calls not appearing

  • Verify the connection is active in Settings > Phone and SMS
  • Check that the contact’s phone numbers match numbers in your CurrentClient system
  • Initial sync may take a few minutes for large histories

SMS not sending

  • Confirm your CurrentClient account has an inbox with a phone number
  • Select a valid sending number in the Sending from dropdown on the Phone tab
  • Verify the recipient number is correct
