MyRepChat integration connects your MyRepChat account to Slant for SMS messaging, call logging, and click-to-call. MyRepChat is designed for financial services firms and provides compliant text messaging with built-in archiving.
MyRepChat is a per-book integration that uses API keys to connect. One MyRepChat account connects per book.
Prerequisites
Before connecting MyRepChat:
- Active MyRepChat subscription
- MyRepChat public key and secret key (from your MyRepChat account)
- Slant book admin access
Connect MyRepChat
- Navigate to Settings > Phone and SMS
- Find the MyRepChat section and click Connect MyRepChat
- Enter your Public key from MyRepChat
- Enter your Secret key from MyRepChat
- Click Save
After connecting, Slant begins syncing SMS and call history for phone numbers associated with people in your book.
Find your API keys
Your MyRepChat API keys are available in your MyRepChat account settings. Contact MyRepChat support or your account manager if you need help locating them.
Keep your API keys secure. Do not share them via email or unencrypted channels.
Features
SMS messaging
Send and receive text messages from the Phone tab on client, prospect, and contact records.
- Select the MyRepChat account from the Phone account dropdown
- Select the recipient phone number
- Compose and send messages
Messages sent through MyRepChat are archived for compliance. Incoming messages sync periodically.
Call logging
Slant imports call history from MyRepChat, including:
- Call direction (inbound or outbound)
- Date, time, and duration
- Call status
Click-to-call
If your MyRepChat account has a phone number configured, you can initiate calls from Slant. Slant detects the MyRepChat phone number automatically from your synced messages.
Compliance
MyRepChat provides message archiving designed for financial services compliance requirements. All text messages sent through the integration are captured and stored by MyRepChat. For details on MyRepChat archiving, supervision, and retention features, refer to MyRepChat support.
Update API keys
If your MyRepChat API keys change:
- Navigate to Settings > Phone and SMS
- Click the settings icon on the MyRepChat card
- Enter the new Public key and Secret key
- Click Save
Troubleshooting
Messages not syncing
- Verify the integration shows as connected in Settings > Phone and SMS
- Confirm your public and secret keys are correct
- Check that the contact’s phone numbers match numbers in your MyRepChat system
- MyRepChat syncs recently communicated numbers periodically
SMS not sending
- Verify your MyRepChat account is active
- Check that the recipient number is a valid mobile number
- Confirm your MyRepChat subscription includes SMS capability
Integration not connecting
- Double-check that you entered the correct public key and secret key
- Verify there are no extra spaces in the key fields
- Confirm your MyRepChat subscription is active
