Once you have other contacts in Slant, you can manage their information, communicate with them, and track interactions. This guide covers the actions available on the other contact detail page.

Quick actions

The contact header provides buttons for common actions:

Send email

  • Click Send email in the top-right corner of the contact page
  • Compose your email with subject, body, and recipients
  • Click Send to deliver the email
Emails sent through Slant are automatically tracked in the contact’s email history. The Send email button is only active when the contact has at least one email address.

Create task

  • Click Add task in the top-right corner
  • Enter the task title, due date, and assignee
  • Save the task

Add note

  • Click Add note in the top-right corner
  • Enter the note content
  • The note is saved to the contact record

Call

If you have a phone integration connected (such as RingCentral), a Call button appears in the header when the contact has a phone number.

Organize contacts

Add tags

Tags help you categorize and filter contacts. Click the tag area below the contact’s name in the header. Search for an existing tag or select one from the list.

Update contact information

Click Details in the right panel to view and edit contact fields. All fields are inline-editable and save automatically. See managing contacts for the full list of available fields.

Add comments

Click the Comments tab in the right panel. Type your comment and submit. Comments are internal notes visible to your team, not the contact.

Convert to household

If this contact becomes a potential or actual client:
  • Click the More menu (three-dot icon) in the top-right corner
  • Select Convert to household
  • Choose Prospect or Client
  • Click Convert

Delete a contact

  • Click the More menu (three-dot icon) in the top-right corner
  • Select Destroy
  • Confirm the deletion
Deleting a contact removes all associated data. This action cannot be undone.
