Profile settings control your personal information and how you appear to others in Slant.

Access profile settings

Open settings

Click Settings in the sidebar.

Select Account

Click Account or Profile.

Profile information

Display name

Your name as it appears in Slant:
  • Task assignments
  • Note authorship
  • Team member lists
  • Email signatures
To update:
  1. Click on your name field
  2. Enter your preferred name
  3. Save changes

Email address

Your account email is used for:
  • Logging in
  • Receiving notifications
  • Account recovery
To change:
  1. Click on your email field
  2. Enter your new email
  3. Verify the new address via confirmation email

Profile photo

Your avatar appears throughout Slant:

Click your photo

Click on your current photo or the placeholder.

Upload new image

Select an image file from your computer.

Adjust

Crop or adjust as needed.

Save

Confirm the new photo.
Recommended: Square image, at least 200x200 pixels.

Phone number

Add your phone number for:
  • Use in email signatures
  • Display on shared materials
  • Two-factor authentication (if enabled)

Account security

Password

Change your password:

Find password section

Look for Password or Security in account settings.

Enter current password

Verify your identity with current password.

Enter new password

Create a strong new password.

Confirm

Re-enter the new password.

Save

Your password is updated.

Two-factor authentication

Add an extra layer of security:

Enable 2FA

Find Two-factor authentication in security settings.

Choose method

Select authenticator app or SMS.

Configure

Follow prompts to set up your chosen method.

Save backup codes

Store backup codes securely for account recovery.

Active sessions

View devices where you’re logged in:
  • Current device
  • Other active sessions
  • Last activity time
Log out other sessions if you see unfamiliar devices.

Connected accounts

Email integration

View your connected email account:
  • Connected email address
  • Sync status
  • Last sync time
Manage email integration in Email settings.

Calendar

View connected calendar status and settings.

Regional settings

Timezone

Set your timezone for:
  • Task due dates
  • Meeting times
  • Notification timing

Find timezone setting

Look for Timezone in preferences.

Select timezone

Choose your timezone from the dropdown.

Save

Dates and times adjust to your timezone.

Date format

Choose how dates display:
  • MM/DD/YYYY (US)
  • DD/MM/YYYY (International)
  • YYYY-MM-DD (ISO)

Delete account

To delete your Slant account:

Contact support

Account deletion requires support assistance.

Verify identity

Confirm you own the account.

Confirm deletion

Understand that deletion is permanent.
Warning: Account deletion removes your access to all books and cannot be undone. Your data contributions (notes, tasks) remain but are attributed to “Deleted User.”
