Billing settings let you manage your Slant subscription, view invoices, and update payment information.

Access billing settings

Go to settings

Click Settings in the sidebar.

Click Billing

Navigate to AccountBilling.
Billing management requires account owner or billing admin permissions.

Your current plan

View plan details

The billing page shows:

Change your plan

Upgrade

Go to billing

Navigate to billing settings.

Click Change plan

Click Change plan or Upgrade.

Select new plan

Choose the plan you want.

Review changes

See the price difference and what changes.

Confirm

Click Confirm upgrade.
Upgrade timing:
  • New features activate immediately
  • Prorated charge for remainder of billing period
  • New rate applies at next full cycle

Downgrade

Go to billing

Navigate to billing settings.

Click Change plan

Click Change plan.

Select lower plan

Choose the plan to downgrade to.

Review impact

See what features you’ll lose.

Confirm

Click Confirm downgrade.
Downgrade timing:
  • Takes effect at end of current billing period
  • You keep current features until then
  • May need to reduce users if exceeding new limit

Switch billing cycle

Change from monthly to annual (or vice versa):

Go to billing

Navigate to billing settings.

Click Change cycle

Click Switch to annual or Switch to monthly.

Review pricing

See the new price (annual typically saves ~20%).

Confirm

Change takes effect at next billing cycle.

Payment methods

Add payment method

Go to payment methods

In billing settings, find Payment methods.

Click Add

Click Add payment method.

Enter details

Enter credit card or bank account information.

Save

Click Save to add the method.

Supported payment methods

Update payment method

Find payment method

Locate the payment method to update.

Click Edit

Click Edit or the pencil icon.

Update details

Enter new card number, expiration, etc.

Save

Click Save to update.

Remove payment method

Find payment method

Locate the method to remove.

Click Remove

Click Remove or the trash icon.

Confirm

Confirm removal.
You must have at least one payment method on file. Add a new method before removing the current one.

Set default payment

If you have multiple payment methods:

Find the method

Locate the payment method.
2

Click Set as default

Click Set as default.

Confirmed

Future charges use this method.

Invoices and receipts

View invoices

Go to billing

Navigate to billing settings.

Click Invoices

Find the Invoices or Billing history section.

Browse invoices

See all past invoices.

Download invoice

Find the invoice

Locate the invoice in the list.

Click Download

Click Download PDF.

Save file

Invoice downloads to your computer.

Invoice details

Each invoice shows:
  • Invoice number and date
  • Billing period
  • Items charged
  • Taxes (if applicable)
  • Total amount
  • Payment status

Billing contacts

Add billing contact

Receive invoices at a different email:

Go to billing contacts

Find Billing contacts in settings.

Add email

Enter the email address.

Save

Invoices will be sent to this address.

Multiple contacts

You can add multiple billing contacts:
  • Accountant
  • Finance department
  • Office manager
All receive invoice emails.

User seats

View seat usage

Go to billing

Navigate to billing settings.

See seat count

View “X of Y seats used.”

Add seats

Check current usage

See how many seats you’re using.

Click Add seats

Click Add seats or Upgrade.

Select quantity

Choose how many seats to add.

Review pricing

See prorated cost for current period.

Confirm

Seats are added immediately.

Remove seats

Deactivate users first

Remove access from users you no longer need.

Reduce seats

Click Reduce seats in billing.

Confirm reduction

Seats reduce at next billing cycle.
You can’t remove seats below your current active user count. Deactivate users first.

Cancel subscription

Canceling ends your access to Slant. Make sure to export any data you need before canceling.

Go to billing

Navigate to billing settings.

Click Cancel subscription

Find and click Cancel subscription.

Tell us why

Optionally share your reason for canceling.

Confirm cancellation

Confirm you want to cancel.

What happens when you cancel

  • Access continues until end of billing period
  • Data is retained for 30 days
  • After 30 days, data may be deleted
  • You can reactivate within 30 days

Reactivate subscription

If you canceled and want to return:

Log in

Sign in to your Slant account.

Click Reactivate

Click the Reactivate button.

Choose plan

Select your plan.

Add payment

Update payment method if needed.

Billing FAQ

When am I charged?

  • Monthly plans: Same day each month
  • Annual plans: Same date each year
  • Upgrades: Immediately (prorated)
  • Downgrades: At end of current period

What if payment fails?

  1. You’ll receive an email notification
  2. We retry the charge after a few days
  3. Update payment method if needed
  4. After multiple failures, service may be interrupted

Can I get a refund?

Contact [email protected] for refund requests. Refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis.

Is my payment information secure?

  • Payment info handled by Stripe
  • Slant never sees your full card number
  • PCI-DSS compliant processing
