Task list shortcuts

When viewing a task list:

Quick actions

Select a task first, then use these shortcuts:

Multi-select

Select multiple tasks for bulk actions:

When viewing a single task:

Command palette

Access task actions via the command palette:

Open command palette

Press ⌘ K (Mac) or Ctrl K (Windows).

Search for action

Type the action you want (e.g., “new task”, “my tasks”).

Execute

Press Enter to run the command.

Useful task commands

  • “New task” — Create a task
  • “My tasks” — View tasks assigned to you
  • “Overdue tasks” — View past-due tasks
  • “Today’s tasks” — View tasks due today

Tips for efficiency

Learn the essentials first

Start with these five shortcuts:
  1. N — New task
  2. Space — Toggle complete
  3. D — Set due date
  4. A — Assign
  5. Enter — Open task

Use vim-style navigation

If you’re comfortable with vim:
  • J moves down (like )
  • K moves up (like )
This keeps your fingers on the home row.

Combine with filters

  1. Press F to open filters
  2. Filter to specific tasks
  3. Use ⌘ A to select all
  4. Apply bulk action

Quick task entry

For rapid task creation:
  1. Press N to create
  2. Type the title
  3. Press D and use date shortcuts
  4. Press A to assign
  5. Press ⌘ Enter to save

Customization

Task keyboard shortcuts cannot currently be customized. They follow standard conventions that should feel familiar from other productivity apps.
