The daily overview is the default tab on your Home page. It shows everything you need to stay on top of your day: upcoming meetings, tasks that need attention, inbound emails from clients and prospects, and nudges that suggest timely outreach.

Today’s meetings

The Today’s meetings card lists every meeting scheduled for today, showing the time, title, and attendees for each one. When you’re viewing a single book, the card shows all meetings in that book. In all-books mode, it shows only your meetings across all books.
  • Meetings happening right now are highlighted in blue.
  • Past meetings appear dimmed.
  • Click any meeting to open its detail page.
  • Click View all to go to the full meetings page.

Your tasks

The Your tasks card shows tasks assigned to you that are due today or overdue. Each task displays its title, due date, priority, and the linked household. You can complete a task directly from this card by checking the checkbox next to it.

Sort options

Use the dropdown in the top-right corner of the card to change the sort order:
  • Due today — tasks due today first, then overdue (default)
  • Most overdue — tasks furthest past their due date first
  • Highest priority — highest-priority tasks first
  • Lowest priority — lowest-priority tasks first
Your sort preference is saved and persists between visits.

Important emails

The Important emails card surfaces recent inbound emails from your clients and prospects so you can respond quickly. Filter emails by sender type using the buttons at the top of the card:
  • All — every inbound email (default)
  • Client — emails from clients only
  • Prospect — emails from prospects only
  • Other — emails from senders who aren’t clients or prospects
Only emails from the last four days appear here. Dismissed emails are hidden.
Important emails is only available when viewing a single book. In all-books mode, this card is hidden.

Nudges

Nudges are timely suggestions to reach out to a client or prospect based on events Slant detects automatically. The Nudges card shows nudges for today’s date.

Types of nudges

  • Client birthday — a client’s birthday is coming up in the next few days
  • Job change detected — a client started a new job, or Promotion detected if they were promoted
  • Family member new job — a client’s family member started a new job or received a promotion
  • Address change detected — a client moved to a new address
  • Home purchase alert — a client purchased a new home
  • Client obituary alert — a client has been reported deceased, with relevant context like an obituary link
  • Family obituary alert — a client’s family member has been reported deceased

Actions you can take

Each nudge includes contextual action buttons based on the type of event — such as composing an email, logging a call, creating a follow-up task, sending a message, or opening a LinkedIn profile. Some nudges instead ask whether you’ve already taken action or were already aware of the change. You can dismiss any nudge if no action is needed.

FAQ

Important emails only appears when you’re viewing a single book. Switch from All books to a specific book using the book switcher in the sidebar.
The Your tasks card only shows tasks assigned to you. To see all tasks across your team, go to the tasks page.
Slant monitors your client data for notable events — birthdays, job changes, address changes, and more. When it detects something worth reaching out about, it creates a nudge automatically. No setup required.
Dismissed nudges are hidden from the card and won’t reappear. If you change your mind, the nudge may have already expired.
