Once you have prospects in Slant, you can perform a wide range of actions to manage their information, communicate with them, and track their activities. This guide covers all the actions available on the prospect page.

Quick actions

The prospect header provides quick access to the most common actions. You can also use the chat to perform any of these actions.

Send email

Click 'Send email' in the top-right corner of the prospect page.

Compose your email with subject, body, and recipients.

Click 'Send' to deliver the email.

Emails sent through Slant are automatically tracked and stored in the prospect’s email history.

Create task

Click 'Add task' in the top-right corner.

Enter task details including title, description, due date, and assignee.

Click 'Create task' to save.

Add note

Click 'Add note' button in the top-right corner.

Enter the note content.

Notes auto-save as you type and are retained for compliance.

Start project

Click the dropdown menu (three dots) in the top-right corner.

Select 'Start project' from the menu.

Choose a project template and choose a project name.

Click 'Create project' to begin.

Client classification and organization

Add tags

Tags help you categorize and filter prospects. You can add up to 5 tags to a prospect. To add a tag, click on the tag selector in the prospect header and select an existing tag or create a new one. Alternatively, you can also ask chat to add a tag to the prospect.

Add custom fields

If you want to add a custom field, navigate to the Prospect table, click the + Add column button, click Create custom field, and add the field name and type.

Update prospect information

To update prospect information, click on Household in the right sidebar. You can update the prospect’s name, email, phone number, address, and other information, as well as add household members. Click on the 3 dot menu (…) on the right side of the household member to manage their household (move to a new or existing househole, or delete them).

Add comments

You can add comments to a prospect record to track conversations and decisions. To add a comment, click on the Comments tab in the right sidebar and click the + Add comment button.

Add prospect as client

When a prospect is ready to become a client, you can add them to your book by clicking the Promote to client button in the prospect header. This will create a new client record and move the prospect to the client record.
