Enable Slant in Betterment

Open Settings → Custodian → Betterment in Slant. The setup dialog walks you through each step and saves your progress, so you can close it and come back.
  1. In your Betterment advisor dashboard, open Settings → Integrations.
  2. Find Slant and select Connect to Slant.
Back in Slant, confirm that you have connected and enter the email address on your Betterment advisor login. Betterment’s notification names that email, and Slant uses it to match the notification to your connection. See Betterment’s Slant integration resource for screenshots.

What Slant does next

You do not need to enter advisor IDs or choose books. Betterment’s notification includes your advisor IDs, and Betterment sends data within one business day. Once the first files arrive, Slant checks the firm ID on the files, matches the account owner names to one of your books, verifies the advisor IDs and places their accounts in that book. Slant emails you when the connection is live. You can move codes between books later from Books & codes. If a check needs a closer look, the connection shows as needing attention and Slant’s team follows up by email.
