Submit the data transmission authorization form

Open Settings → Custodian → RBC in Slant. The setup dialog walks you through each step and saves your progress, so you can close it and come back.
  1. An authorized signer for your firm completes the Data Transmission Authorization form in RBC Nexus, naming Slant CRM as the recipient.
  2. Choose the level of data access. RBC can send anything from a single account up to your whole firm. Release as much as your firm is willing to; Slant splits the data across your books.
  3. RBC Clearing & Custody replies within 1 to 2 business days to confirm which FA or user will view the data in Slant (name and email) and the access level. Answer promptly so the request keeps moving.
Confirm in Slant once the form is submitted.

What Slant does next

You do not need to enter advisor codes or choose books. Once RBC establishes the feed, effective the next day, it emails Slant each advisor’s Unique Advisor IDs. Slant registers those IDs to your firm, matches accounts to your households by tax ID and owner name, and places each ID in the matching book. Slant emails you when the connection is live. You can move codes between books later from Books & codes. Plan on 2 to 3 weeks end to end. Nightly files arrive after market close; cost-basis files land about four hours after the standard files.
