Mail merge

Generate printed letters, envelopes, and labels by filling a Word template with each household’s data. Upload a .docx template once, then run the merge from a single household or in bulk from the clients or prospects list. Templates can be book-scoped or company-wide, and the settings page shows every supported merge field with live example values.

Start projects from chat

When the conversation calls for it — for example, after agreeing to begin a money movement or kick off onboarding — chat can propose a project on the linked household. Click Start project on the confirmation card to create it, with the project type and starting milestones already set. Past meetings and projects now have Attachments sections, matching tasks. Anywhere you add an attachment — tasks, projects, meetings, or task templates — you can either upload a file or Attach from [provider] to link a file directly from your connected cloud storage. Slant stores the link, so the file stays in your provider.

Records tab on contacts and businesses

Contact and business detail pages now have the same right-sidebar split as households: a primary tab for inline fields, a Records tab for custom fields and related records, and a Comments tab for the team thread. The Records tab also holds a new Files section for linking a cloud storage folder to the contact or business — same flow as households.

Merge contacts

You can now merge two other contacts into one — useful when the same person was entered twice or when consolidating professional relationships. Start from the menu on either contact, or select two contacts in the list and click Merge in the selection bar. Slant always asks you to confirm which contact remains before running the merge.

Merge households from the list

Household merge now has a bulk entry point: select two households in Clients or Prospects and click Merge in the selection bar. The dialog opens with an explicit step that asks which household should remain, then continues with the same role-assignment flow as before.

Add tasks to email threads manually

Email threads already let you generate follow-up tasks with AI. You can now also add a task to a thread yourself — click Add task in the thread’s Tasks section to open the task creation form with the email thread pre-attached.

AI-generated task badge

Tasks created from a meeting or email thread now show a small wand badge once they’re accepted into your task list, with a Generated by AI tooltip. The badge makes it easy to spot which tasks came from Slant versus the ones you created yourself.
