Customize meeting types

Meeting types are no longer a fixed list. Slant includes locked default types, and admins can now add custom company-wide meeting types — each with a name, color, and AI description that helps Slant classify meetings and tailor notes and tasks. Manage them from SettingsData customizations.

Dialpad phone integration

Dialpad joins RingCentral, CurrentClient, and MyRepChat as a supported phone provider. Connect your Dialpad account to sync SMS conversations and call history — including recordings and transcripts — into Slant.

Redesigned custodian settings with in-app release guides

The SettingsCustodian page has a new look — pick your custodian from the list, enter your advisor code, and follow the new step-by-step guide for releasing your data to Slant. Guides are available for Schwab, Fidelity, Pershing, Interactive Brokers, and DST.

Lock notes by default, and pin locked notes

Two improvements to note locking: admins can now have every new note lock automatically from company settings, and locked notes can be pinned without unlocking them first.

Phone number extensions

Phone numbers now support extensions. Add an extension when entering a phone number, and it displays alongside the number everywhere it appears — list columns, person pages, and the public API.

Notes on financial accounts

The account edit form now includes a Notes field, so you can keep free-form context about an account right where you manage its details.

Projects in the public API

The public API now includes endpoints for projects. Other API additions this week: meetings expose their advisors and can be filtered by advisor and meeting type, households can be filtered by type (including past clients), and people support phone extensions.

API connections: MCP and Zapier for everyone

The API tokens settings page is now API connections, with dedicated tabs for personal access tokens, MCP, and Zapier. The MCP connection — previously limited to internal use — is now available to all users, so you can connect Slant to MCP-compatible AI clients.
