Customizable overview layout

The Overview tab on clients, prospects, other contacts, and businesses is now a drag-and-drop dashboard. Admins can click Edit overview layout to add, move, resize, and remove widgets. Available widgets include Tasks, Activity, Quick actions, Custom fields, Meetings, Recent emails, Projects, Opportunities, Related records, Trusts, Files, and Sequences. The layout is shared across your company and can be set independently for each record type.

Customizable tab order

Admins can now set the order of tabs on home, client, prospect, other contact, and business pages for the whole company. On a record, click the menu and choose Edit tab order to drag the tabs into your preferred order. On home, use the swap arrows icon next to the tabs. The saved order applies to everyone on the team; non-admins see the order but can’t edit it.

Email voice settings

Each book now has its own Email voice prompt at SettingsPromptsEmail voice, with one tab per book the user belongs to. Any book member can edit the voice; Regenerate email voice samples from the book principal’s primary email integration.

Reorder custom fields

Custom fields can now be reordered with drag-and-drop from custom field settings. The order is shared across your company and controls how fields appear on record detail pages.

Project type editor overhaul

The project type editor is now a two-panel inline editor with milestones in a sidebar and Tasks, Outcomes, Form inputs, and Settings tabs on the right. Form inputs and outcomes are drag-to-reorder, task templates open in a dialog with email prompt support, and changes auto-save with a Saving… / Saved indicator. The project types settings list is now a table with a three-dot menu for Edit, Duplicate to book, and Delete.

Generate follow-up tasks from email threads

A new Generate tasks action on email threads uses AI to propose follow-up tasks based on the conversation. Suggested tasks are shown in a pending state — click Accept to add them to your task list or Reject to dismiss. Existing tasks are preserved when you regenerate.

Declined calendar events struck through

Events you decline in your connected calendar now render with the title and time in strike-through on the Slant calendar, matching Gmail and Outlook.

Principal calendar sharing moved to email settings

The toggle that controls whether the book principal’s primary calendar is shared with the book has moved from the book settings page to SettingsEmail → the integration’s Calendar sharing tab. The setting applies across all the principal’s primary calendars.

Activity feed scoped to accessible email integrations

Email entries in the activity feed now only appear for users who own or have read access to the underlying email integration. Grant teammates access under SettingsEmail → the integration’s Email permissions tab.

Route automation tasks via custom fields

The Create task automation action’s Assigned to picker now includes household user-reference custom fields under a User reference fields section. At run time, Slant uses the explicit user if set, otherwise reads the field off the household and assigns accordingly, otherwise creates the task unassigned.

Formatting toolbar on email templates

Email template bodies now show the same floating format bar as the email composer — bold, italic, underline, text color, bulleted and numbered lists, and indent controls.

Tables in task descriptions

Task descriptions now support tables. Use the table button in the toolbar or type / and select Table from the menu, same as the notes editor.

Quick copy from the command palette

Hover over an email or phone in the command palette preview pane to reveal a copy icon. Click it to copy the value without leaving search.

Assign chat-created tasks to teammates

Ask AI chat to create a task for a specific teammate (e.g. “Create a task for Sarah to call the Smiths”) and the assignee is pre-filled in the task preview. Works in book, household, and meeting chat. If you don’t name a teammate, the task is assigned to you.

Retirement date on people

People now have a Retirement date field in the Professional and legal information section. Retirement dates are also mapped in during Redtail imports.

User list scoped for non-admins

On SettingsUsers and teams, non-admins now only see teammates they share at least one book with, and the books column only lists shared books. Admins still see the full company list.
